Contemporary Eyewitness Project

The Association launched a contemporary eyewitness project in 1996. The aim of the project is to collect biographical source material about the history of the inner-German movement of peoples between 1949 and 1990. Numerous biographical interviews with refugees and emigrants have been carried out over the years. Since 2003, the project has been continued by employees of the memorial museum.
