Admission is free.

Price for tours: €3.50 per person, reduced €2.50 (students, ALG 2 recipients, people with a disabled ID or Berlin Pass). Groups with less than ten people pay a flat fee of €35.

There is no charge for pupils.

The exhibition and seminar rooms are wheelchair-accessible. A barrier-free elevator is available to people with disabilities or visitors with small children. Please speak to our front desk staff.

Aids
Mobile seats can be borrowed from the front desk. Group guide systems are available for tours through the exhibition.

Restrooms and diaper-changing rooms
A wheelchair accessible restroom is available. There is a separate room for diaper-changing. Please speak to our front desk staff.

Assistance dogs
Assistance dogs are allowed.

Medication
Medication bags may be taken into all the exhibitions and rooms of the museum.

Corona Measures

We are pleased to welcome you with us. Due to the current Corona situation, we would like to ask you to observe our hygiene measures:  

  • We recommend wearing an FFP2 mask when visiting our indoor rooms and exhibitions. However, there is no longer an obligation to wear a mask.
  • Please enter the exhibition one at a time and avoid forming groups in the entrance area.
  • Please keep a minimum distance of 1.5 meters from other people.
  • Please clean your hands at the disinfection station in the entrance area.
  • To minimize the risk of infection, the media stations in the exhibitions are only available on a limited basis.
  • All hand contact surfaces in the exhibitions are cleaned regularly.
  • The exhibition is regularly ventilated during operation by opening windows and doors.
  • Children under the age of 14 are admitted only when accompanied by an adult.

Events at the Marienfelde Refugee Center Museum

  • At events indoors we recommend wearing a medical or FFP2 mask.
  • Assistance dogs are permitted.
  • All hand contact surfaces are cleaned before the start of the event.
  • The entrance area and the event hall are ventilated before and after each event by opening windows and doors and/or by a central ventilation and exhaust system.

  • For indoor programs (e.g., guided tours and educational programs), we recommend wearing a medical or FFP2 mask.

How much is admission?

Admission is free.

How much does a tour for my (school) group cost?

Tours for pupils are free. The tour is also free for adults accompanying the school group. Regular tours costs 3.50 per person, with a reduced price of € 2.50 for students, ALG 2 recipients, asylum-seekers, people with a disabled ID or Berlin Pass. Groups with less than 10 participants pay a flat fee of €35. The flat fee is currently not available.

How can I book a tour/workshop for my group?

To request a tour or workshop, please complete the form on the website and send it to us. Visitors Services will process your request and contact you if they have any questions. After your request has been processed, you will receive a confirmation email with information regarding your tour.

What payment methods do you offer?

You can pay in person with cash or by EC-Card/credit card. Groups can arrange to be billed by invoice.  

What languages do you offer for group tours?

We are less than 10 people, but would like to book a separate group tour. Is this possible?

Yes, you can book a separate tour as a small group, however groups with less than 10 people have to pay a flat fee of €35. The flat fee is currently not available.

As an individual visitor or small group, do I have to register in advance?

You do not need to register in advance to visit our exhibitions or take part in a public tour. If you would like to book a workshop or group tour, please complete the booking form on the website and send it to us.

Is the visit to the exhibition barrier-free?

Our exhibition is wheelchair accessible and there is an elevator. Please speak to our front desk staff.

Are dogs allowed in the exhibitions?

Assistance dogs are allowed in our exhibitions.

Are there places to sit in the exhibitions?

Yes. You can also borrow mobile seats. Please speak to our front desk staff.

Are there diaper-changing rooms?

Yes, there are separate rooms available for diaper-changing. Please speak to our front desk staff. You must bring your own diapers and wipes.

Is eating, drinking or smoking allowed in the exhibitions?

As a courtesy to other visitors, eating and drinking is not permitted in the Marienfelde Refugee Center Museum. Smoking is not allowed.  

Can I take pictures or film in the exhibitions?

You may take pictures and film for private use only, but using tripods and selfie sticks is not permitted. You must contact our press department before making professional film and video recordings. Violators will be fined €500,00 for each act of infringement.

Where can I drop of my coat and larger pieces of luggage?

There are lockers at the site. There is also a cloakroom.  

Who do I contact if I lost or found something in one of your exhibitions or rooms?

Is there a museum café or catering facilities nearby?

The museum does not have a café or a vending machine. However, there are several bakeries and two restaurants within easy walking distance. We recommend that groups who do not wish to eat out bring their own drinks and snacks. 

How much time should I plan for my visit?

We recommend that you plan at least one hour for a visit to our permanent exhibition.
